This agreement

This is an agreement between you and Jiffy Jr Development (“we”) for the Jiffy Reach Windows application, its browser companion extension and their updates (together, “the software”). By installing or using the software you accept it. If you do not, do not install it, or uninstall it from Windows Settings, Apps.

What you may do

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the software on computers you own or control, for personal use or for your own work. Jiffy Reach Free costs nothing, permanently. Features of Jiffy Reach+ need an active subscription; everything in Free keeps working without one.

What you may not do

Sell, rent, lend or redistribute the software or its installer. During the beta, do not share your installer or download link: testers are invited personally.
Remove notices, or get around licence checks or usage limits.
Reverse engineer, decompile or modify the software, except where the law allows it despite this restriction.
Use the software to break the law, or to access computers, accounts or information you are not authorized to access.

Beta versions

Beta versions are for testing. They may have faults, change, or lose features, and we may end a beta at any time. Keep your existing screen reader or other accessibility tools installed and available. Please report problems through support; you allow us to use that feedback to improve Jiffy Reach.

Important limits

Jiffy Reach is an assistive tool. It is not a medical device, and it is not designed for tasks where a mistake could cause injury, financial loss or an emergency to go unanswered. Keep another way to use your computer for critical tasks. AJ, the assistant, can misunderstand or be wrong: read or listen to each step before you confirm it. Task Mode asks before risky actions, and Ctrl+Alt+Escape stops it at any time.

Optional cloud AI

If you add your own Anthropic API key and turn on cloud AI, your requests go to Anthropic under Anthropic’s terms and your own account, and you are responsible for that account and its costs. Private Mode turns cloud AI off. Jiffy Reach+ cloud AI, when available, is covered by the Jiffy Reach+ terms.

Your Secure Vault

The Secure Vault is encrypted on your PC with keys only you hold. Keep your recovery code safe: we cannot open, recover or reset your vault for you.

Updates

The software may tell you about updates. Updates are never installed without asking you, and are covered by this agreement unless they come with new terms.

Other software

The software includes open-source components that stay under their own licences, which take priority for those components; ask support for the list. Optional programs you install yourself, such as Ollama, and AI models you download are under their own terms.

Ownership

The software is licensed, not sold. Jiffy Jr Development keeps all rights not expressly given to you here.

Privacy

The privacy notice explains what the software does and does not send. By default nothing leaves your PC.

No warranty

The software is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties, express or implied, including that it is error-free, fit for a particular purpose, or compatible with every program or website.

Limit of liability

To the extent the law allows, Jiffy Jr Development is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for lost data, profits or goodwill, arising from the software. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for Jiffy Reach+ in the 12 months before the claim, or US$50 if you paid nothing. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer protection law that cannot be waived.

Ending this agreement

You can end this agreement at any time by uninstalling the software. It ends automatically if you break it. Your vault and settings stay on your PC unless you delete them. The sections on ownership, warranty, liability and governing law continue after it ends.

Governing law

This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin, USA, as described in the terms of use.
