How to get the beta
Jiffy Reach is in a controlled beta, which opens to its first testers on October 17, 2026. There is no public download yet. Request access, and when a place opens we’ll email you. Then sign in to your free Jiffy Reach account and download it from My account.
Request beta accessWhat you need
- Windows 11, or Windows 10 version 1809 or later, 64-bit.
- At least one Windows voice. Windows includes these.
- No other software for the screen reader. Optional: Ollama, for AJ on your PC.
- Optional local AI models need more memory. Jiffy Reach suggests a model size that suits your computer.
- English only.
The installer
One installer, about 63 MB. Everything the screen reader needs is included. The installer and the app are code-signed with a Microsoft-verified certificate. Windows shows the publisher as the developer’s own name, which is also given in your beta invitation. Because we are a new publisher, Windows SmartScreen may still warn at first. If it does:
- Windows shows “Windows protected your PC”.
- Choose More info.
- Choose Run anyway.
Only run an installer that came from your beta invitation.
Upgrading from an earlier beta keeps your vault, settings, profiles and tasks. Uninstalling keeps them too. Automatic updates are not active in this release.
The browser companion
For Chrome, Edge and Brave. It is not in the Chrome Web Store yet, so beta testers load it by hand in developer mode, using the instructions in their invitation.
Known limitations
- Beta. The installer is code-signed, but as a new publisher Windows SmartScreen may still warn at first.
- The browser companion is not in the Chrome Web Store yet. Beta testers load it by hand in developer mode.
- No braille display support yet.
- The “Hey AJ” wake word misses fast or casual speech. Use Ctrl+Shift+L or push-to-talk instead.
- Windows Hello unlock for the vault is built but not yet tested by a person, and locking the vault on Windows lock and sleep is not yet confirmed on a real machine.
- AJ on your PC is slower than a cloud service, and less reliable at long multi-step tasks, especially with smaller models. Smaller models have not yet been measured on a low-end laptop.
- English only.
